Job Title: AppDynamics Engineer (APM / Performance Monitoring)

Role Summary

We are looking for an AppDynamics Engineer to implement and manage application performance monitoring solutions. The role involves configuring AppDynamics analyzing application performance identifying bottlenecks and enabling proactive monitoring to ensure high availability and optimal user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement configure and manage AppDynamics APM solutions across applications
• Monitor application performance user experience and business transactions
• Analyze performance issues and identify root causes (code infrastructure DB network)
• Create dashboards alerts and reports for real-time monitoring
• Configure Business Transactions Health Rules and Policies in AppDynamics
• Work closely with development QA and DevOps teams to resolve performance issues
• Support incident management and troubleshooting using AppDynamics insights
• Integrate AppDynamics with CI/CD pipelines and other monitoring tools
• Conduct performance trend analysis and capacity planning
• Ensure monitoring coverage across microservices APIs and distributed systems

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in APM / Application Monitoring / Performance Engineering
• Hands-on experience with AppDynamics (setup configuration administration)
• Strong understanding of application architecture (monolith microservices)
• Experience in monitoring or applications
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTTP/HTTPS REST APIs)
• Familiarity with performance metrics (response time throughput latency error rates)
• Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools
• Understanding of Linux/Unix systems
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other monitoring tools (Dynatrace New Relic Prometheus Grafana)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitHub Actions)
• Understanding of DevOps and SRE practices
• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter LoadRunner)

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production-driven environment
• Proactive mindset with focus on system reliability

Nice to Have

• AppDynamics certification (Associate/Professional level)
• Experience in setting up end-user monitoring (EUM) and business iQ

Knowledge of alert tuning and noise reduction strategies
