Job Summary
TO: All Kettering City School District locations and outside locations as designated by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Capital.
POSITION: PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY SCIENCE TEACHER
Effective 2026-27 School Year
LOCATION:KETTERING FAIRMONT HIGH SCHOOL
GENERAL INFORMATION: Seeking applicants with Ohio 7-12 Physical Science Teaching License. Preference will be given to applicants who are certified in both life science and physical science.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Partial List:
- Develops daily and seasonal educational objectives.
- Supervises and manages all classroom activities.
- Participates in school-wide programs and activities.
- Communicates with parents and guardians of assigned students.
- Maintains records regarding student progress.
- Provides a variety of instructional experiences for all students.
QUALIFICATIONS Partial List:
- Valid Ohio teaching license.
- Must pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
- Collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Educational technology skills.
SALARY: According to the approved teacher salary schedule.
