DescriptionThe Digital Sales Engineer is responsible for managing and growing customer relationships through digital and remote sales interactions. Acting as the main sales contact for an assigned customer portfolio in the DACH market this role combines technical understanding with proactive sales activities to drive revenue develop new opportunities and support customers throughout the sales cycle fully via digital channels.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customers through remote sales interactions (phone Teams email digital tools)
- Drive outbound sales activities including daily customer calls follow-ups and prospecting to generate new opportunities
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to pipeline growth through upsell and cross-sell of the Discrete Automation portfolio
- Act as the main sales point of contact for customers providing pre- and post-sales support via digital channels
- Support customers in transitioning to digital self-service platforms including onboarding and basic training
- Prepare and manage quotations and support order-related activities redirecting service topics to Customer Service
- Document customer interactions opportunities and follow-ups accurately in Salesforce CRM
- Collaborate with outside sales customer service and other internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and delivery of commitments
Who You Are:
You are a proactive and results-driven sales professional with a solid technical background. You enjoy working with customers remotely are confident in outbound calling and take ownership of your customer portfolio. You are comfortable working with targets building pipelines and turning opportunities into results.
For This Role You Will Need:
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical background
- Previous experience in sales or a customer commercial-facing role
- Fluency in German (B2-C1 level) and good working knowledge of English
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with CRM systems ideally Salesforce
- Ability to work independently prioritize tasks and follow through on actions
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience selling technical or industrial products
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP Oracle)
- Familiarity with digital sales tools and remote customer engagement
- Strong negotiation skills and a clear sales-driven mindset
