Were looking for a Construction / Engineering Surveyor to join our survey team in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. Youll own daytoday survey setout and data managing digital survey data and models providing technical support across our civil infrastructure structures and complex earthworks projects. Helping us safely accurately and efficiently deliver projects that our communities rely on.

This is a handson Construction / Engineering Surveyor role working on Fulton Hogan sites around the wider Auckland region.

As a surveyor at Fulton Hogan you will be expected to perform a range of survey tasks autonomously. Your responsibilities will include survey calculations managing survey data and keeping survey records. Planning coordinating and carrying out construction surveying tasks across a mix of civil structural and earthworks projects. Working collaboratively with project managers engineers and site teams.

Youll be trusted to get the right work done in the right place at the right time keeping standards high without needing someone looking over your shoulder.

Ngā kawenga matua Key responsibilities

• Deliver daytoday construction / engineering surveying and setout for civil structural and earthworks projects to the required quality and tolerances.

• Prepare and manage digital models and survey data for construction including machine control point cloud and UAV capture.

• Operate survey instruments GPS scanners and software to provide accurate and reliable survey and data to project teams.

• Coordinate asbuilt and conformance surveys and documentation in line with good survey practice and engineering and contract requirements.

• Work closely with project managers engineers and site crews to troubleshoot and resolve onsite issues quickly.

• Maintain survey equipment files and records in good order making sure data is stored backed up and easy to find.

• An interest in construction surveying you might be a new starter or you might already have 3 years experience in New Zealand and/or Australia.

• Growing or solid technical skills in construction surveying and engineering setout across civil structures and earthworks.

• The confidence (or readiness) to take ownership of your work on projects with support from the team as you grow.

• Confidence using Trimble survey equipment and software (12d TBC AutoCAD) or a genuine willingness to learn and get up to speed quickly.

• Experience with or strong interest in machine control and UAVs

• A practical solutionsfocused mindset you learn from mistakes and look for better ways of working.

• A downtoearth collaborative style you put safety first leave your ego at the gate and are keen to learn from others and share what you know.
