About the job

In this role the Flow Cytometry- Medical Lab Scientist will be responsible for supporting the delivery of patient care by performing laboratory testing that is utilized in the diagnosis treatment and prevention of disease. Technologist in Flow Cytometry perform high complexity testing primarily in support of the Oncology Service Line. *Experience with waived moderate and high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory setting through education or work experience required*

Heres what youll do

• Experience with waived moderate and high complexity testing in a clinical laboratory setting through education or work experience required

• Performs all laboratory testing including the pre-examination phase in accordance with standard operating procedures and accreditation guidelines to support the delivery of patient care.

• Conducts and documents established quality control procedures on analytical tests equipment reagents media and products; evaluates the results of quality control testing and implements corrective action according to established protocols to ensure the accuracy and quality of patient testing.

• Participates in the validation of laboratory methods and procedures to meet the changing health care needs of our patients.

Here is what youll need

Required:

• Bachelors degree or associate Degree

• Specific Degree(s): Medical Technologist Medical Technician or Medical Laboratory Science

• Experience and comfortable with performing bone marrow assists.

Licensure/Certifications

Preferred:

• Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent

• Other: Laboratory certification required (ASCP or HEW)

Compensation:

Pay Range: $30.00 $45.00per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience qualifications education location licensure certification requirements and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
