Scrum Master Project Manager

This is an on-site position in Birmingham AL with the potential for hybrid work.

We are seeking a results-driven Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead Agile delivery while ensuring successful planning execution and delivery of key technology and business initiatives. This hybrid role combines servant leadership with traditional project management accountability supporting cross-functional teams in delivering high-quality healthcare and operational solutions.

The ideal candidate will balance Agile facilitation with project oversight ensuring alignment between business goals timelines and technical execution in a regulated healthcare environment.

Agile / Scrum Leadership

• Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning daily stand-ups sprint reviews and retrospectives
• Coach teams on Agile principles Scrum practices and continuous improvement
• Remove impediments and proactively address team blockers
• Drive team accountability transparency and high performance

Project Management

• Plan manage and deliver projects from initiation through completion
• Define project scope timelines milestones and deliverables
• Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with organizational priorities
• Manage risks issues and dependencies across teams
• Provide regular status updates and reporting to leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Partner with Product Owners to prioritize and refine the product backlog
• Collaborate with IT operations clinical and business teams
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
• Support change management and user adoption initiatives

Continuous Improvement & Governance

• Track and analyze Agile and project metrics (velocity burndown KPIs)
• Identify opportunities to improve processes workflows and delivery efficiency
• Support Agile maturity and scaling efforts across the organization
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology Business or related field
• 47 years of experience in Scrum Master Project Manager or hybrid roles
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and traditional project management practices
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex projects
• Experience managing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication facilitation and leadership skills
• Experience with tools such as Smartsheet Jira Azure DevOps or similar platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrum certification (CSM PSM)
• Project Management certification (PMP CAPM or equivalent)
• Experience in healthcare corrections or regulated industries
• Familiarity with enterprise software EHR systems or IT service management
• Experience supporting Agile transformations or hybrid delivery models
