Automotive Parts Manager – Ford Dealership

Rob Sight Ford is looking for an experienced Parts Manager to lead our parts department and support the continued growth of our dealership.

We are a family-owned Ford dealership serving Kansas City with a long-standing reputation for customer service employee stability and doing business the right way. We are looking for someone organized accountable and team-oriented who can manage inventory support our service department and lead the department with professionalism.

Responsibilities

The Parts Manager will oversee daily operations of the parts department including:

• Managing parts inventory ordering returns and obsolescence
• Supporting technicians service advisors retail customers and wholesale customers
• Maintaining accurate records invoices and manufacturer documentation
• Overseeing special orders and ensuring timely customer follow-up
• Managing parts gross profit expenses and department performance
• Training coaching and supporting parts department employees
• Building strong relationships with Ford vendors and internal departments
• Ensuring the department operates efficiently accurately and with a high level of customer service
• Working closely with service management to improve repair cycle time and shop productivity
• Monitoring fill rate aged inventory stock orders emergency orders and parts availability
• Maintaining a clean organized and professional parts department

Qualifications

Strong candidates will have:

• Previous dealership parts experience required
• Parts management or assistant parts management experience preferred
• Ford parts experience strongly preferred
• Strong inventory control and organizational skills
• Ability to lead a team and hold people accountable
• Good communication skills with employees customers and vendors
• Understanding of wholesale retail and internal parts operations
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment
• Dealertrack Ford systems or similarDMS experience preferred

Schedule

This is a full-time in-person position. The schedule may include some Saturdays depending on business needs.

Compensation

Compensation will be based on experience and performance.
