We are looking for a Digital Learning Specialist who is dedicated to supporting both students and educators. This role includes collaborating with teachers to design engaging technology-rich learning experiences coaching staff in the effective use of digital tools and promoting safe and responsible digital citizenship. The Digital Learning Specialist will also support school and district technology initiatives and contribute to a shared vision for meaningful technology integration.

Salary range for this position is $42113 to $83876depending on education and experience.

General Purpose:
To perform this job successfully an individual must prepare students and educators to use computers and related technologies to improve their ability to integrate technology into their curriculum and classroom while simultaneously enhancing their professional growth and productivity.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Except as specifically noted the following functions are considered essential to this position:
- As a digital designer effectively use technology with differentiation rigor relevance and engaging learning experiences in his or her practice of teaching learning and assessment by the ability to:
- Design and implement digitally-based learning experiences with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments;
- Model and promote the use of adaptive and assistive technologies and other digital tools and resources to personalize and differentiate activities for all learners;
- Collaborate with other educators to help design and implement the student digital portfolio processes and procedures; and
- Promote student reflection using collaborative tools to reveal and clarify students conceptual understanding.
- As a digital learner continue to deepen knowledge and expertise with technological concepts and pedagogy as follows:
- Use knowledge of digital tools to model promote and facilitate experiences that advance learner competency creativity and innovation in both face-to-face and virtual environments;
- Collaborate with other educators to promote innovative and creative thinking using digital tools to engage learners in real-world problem solving;
- Collaborate with other educators to model design and implement technology-enhanced learning experiences addressing both technology and content standards;
- Illustrate how state and national standards are implemented within the curriculum; and
- Develop and carry out a personal professional development plan.
- As a digital citizen model responsible and safe participation in the digital world with the ability to:
- Model and promote safe ethical and legal practices related to digital tools and resources;
- Model and promote digital etiquette awareness of digital identity and privacy and responsible social interactions related to the use of digital tools and resources; and
- Model and promote diversity cultural understanding and global awareness using digital communication and collaborative tools and resources to interact locally and globally;
- As a collaborative coach develop innovative professional learning opportunities and evaluate the impact on instructional practice and learner competencies with the ability to:
- Model and promote effective management and use of digital tools and resources to support technology-rich learning environments;
- Evaluate adapt and reflect on digital tools resources and emerging trends by participating in local and global learning communities and by reviewing current research and evidence-based innovative practices; and
- Promote the role of digital media literacies to equip learners to succeed in a globally interconnected multicultural world.
- As a visionary leader promote and participate in the development and implementation of collaborative strategies for the comprehensive integration of technology to foster excellence to support transformational change throughout the instructional environment with the ability to:
- Promote and participate in the development and implementation of a shared vision for the comprehensive integration of technology to support learning opportunities for all learners and educators;
- Promote and participate in the planning development communication implementation and evaluation of technology-infused strategic plans and adoption of new digital resources and tools at the district and school levels; and
- Promote and participate in implementing strategies for initiating and sustaining technology innovations and managing the change process in schools and classrooms.
- As a member of the SAU70 School District:
- Work on special projects including software implementation systems integration and limited application development.
- Administer user machine and e-mail accounts for the building in their sphere of responsibility.
- In coordination with the district Director of Educational Technology supervise and maintain instructional networks and other systems as they come online.
- In coordination with the Director of Educational Technology supervise and maintain access to administrative networks the student records system the financial system and other systems as they come online.
- In coordination with the districts Director of Educational Technology provide training to staff on various computer hardware and software.
- Assist teachers with Internet access; facilitate other telecommunications access through network devices such as district VoIP telephone system assessment and evaluation systems and parent communications systems.
- Forecast the levels of use that the building IT systems will experience and create recommendations to reflect those predictions.
- Coordinate and assess educational and technical needs with building administration and department chairs.
- Must comply with all SAU 70 District policy and building/department rules procedures practices and objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree
- Certified in NH as a Digital Learning Specialist (0350) for our NH schools or VT Teacher License with Educational Technology Endorsement for our VT school.
