Role Overview

We are seeking a commercially minded and detail-oriented Diamond Buyer to join our Buying Team. Reporting directly to the Buying Director this role will be responsible for supporting the sourcing selection and management of our diamond and jewellery collections while maintaining the exceptional standards associated with the Keanes brand.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the luxury jewellery industry. While previous diamond buying experience would be advantageous full training and product education will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the sourcing selection and purchasing of diamonds and jewellery collections in line with company strategy and customer demand.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and brand partners.

• Monitor sales stock levels and category performance identifying opportunities to maximise sales and margin.

• Analyse sales data and market trends providing insights and recommendations to the Buying Team.

• Maintain accurate product pricing and supplier information across systems.

• Coordinate orders deliveries and stock distribution with suppliers and internal teams.

• Work closely with the Buying Director to develop commercially successful diamond and jewellery ranges.

• Support the preparation of buying meetings through the collation of sales data samples and trend research.

• Ensure timely communication with internal teams regarding new product launches delivery dates and promotional activity.

• Attend supplier appointments trade shows and buying meetings as required.

• Handle ad hoc projects and tasks to support the Buying Team.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in a buying role or knowledge of diamonds and fine jewellery would be advantageous though not essential as full training will be provided.

• Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Good analytical ability and confidence working with numbers and sales data.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) and familiarity with stock management systems.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.

• A passion for luxury products especially jewellery and diamonds.

• Commercial awareness with an interest in trends product development and customer preferences.

• A willingness to learn and develop specialist product knowledge within the diamond sector.
