What is the role
The person in this role is responsible for leading the relationships with suppliers negotiating pricing managing supply orders and monitoring inventory levels. The Buyer participates in cross functional project teams to co-ordinate supplier-related activities. A key role in the Supply Chain the Buyer has excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance intermediate/long term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills with a strong desire to improve existing processes and systems.

What are the key responsibilities
Be the main external/internal contact with designated suppliers.
Update and use Aerogen ERP in relation to supplier accounts prices and orders.
Provide data and assess Suppliers Service Level Performance.
Negotiate prices and plan savings to maximise profitability.
Plan execute and monitor procurement of components on Time in Full.
Define the component supply parameters and updates when necessary.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure alignment with Targets.
Participate in negotiating and enforcing suppliers supply and quality contract terms.
Execute change control related actions in line with the Aerogen Quality Control System.
Participate in project teams to coordinate supplier related activities.
Proactively report and solve component availability issues troubleshoot when necessary.
Engage with order scheduling and production planning to ensure adherence to customer service levels.
Complete special projects and assignments as requested.

What education and experience are required
B. Comm BBS or equivalent work experience.
3-4 years experience in Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Significant experience using MRP/ERP system especially Advanced Planning Systems is desirable.
APICS Certification is a plus.

What key skills will make you great at the role
Understanding of ERP Systems and Microsoft Office products; High proficiency in Excel
Effective communication time management and presentation skills.
Detail oriented ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
Good analytical skills able to evaluate prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
Ability to work within a team environment to achieve agreed company goals.
