St John in Schools delivers a range of fun interactive and engaging programmes teaching tamariki and rangatahi how to be lifesavers in an emergency how to avoid injury and about becoming guardians of wellbeing in their community. Our programmes have reached over 1.4 million tamariki since beginning in 2015!
We have an exciting opportunity to welcome a new Community Education Lead to oversee our programmes across the upper North this role you will lead a team of 13 Educators working Northland to Waikato across to Bay of Plenty and Taranaki supporting their performance and ensuring delivery of high-quality education sessions that truly make a difference. This is a hybrid role working from our Ellerslie office with some travel as needed across the wider region.
- Oversee St John in Schools programmes and initiatives for the upper North Island
- Lead a geographically spread team of passionate facilitators
- Develop the team and foster a culture of growth and high performance
- Work closely with the wider Community Education Lead team on programme development and enhancement
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external partnership organisations
Qualifications :

You will bring to this role:
- Strong people management experience (experience managing geographically spread teams an advantage)
- Performance planning and management skills
- Strong IT and administrative skills
- Highly numerate with ability to see and analyse trends and link to improvements
- Excellent planning skills to support operational development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to build meaningful relationships
