Role Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting repairing maintaining and improving production facility and processing equipment. This role supports safe and efficient plant operations by responding to equipment issues performing preventive maintenance and helping reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance on production lines facility systems and related equipment.

Respond to maintenance calls and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.

Assist with equipment setup changeovers installations and adjustments.

Inspect machinery and identify worn damaged or unsafe components.

Document repairs maintenance activity parts used and equipment concerns.

Support production teams by helping minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Follow lockout/tagout PPE safety and GMP procedures.

Maintain tools parts work areas and maintenance areas in a clean and organized manner.

Communicate equipment concerns and repair updates to supervisors and production leadership.

Minimum Job Requirements

Ability to work 12-hour shifts or flexible schedules based on business needs.

English proficiency spoken and written.

Previous industrial maintenance manufacturing maintenance or mechanic experience preferred.

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Ability to use hand tools power tools meters and maintenance equipment safely.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs safely.

Demonstrated consistent work history and job longevity.

Basic math and measurement skills.

Ability to work safely around chemicals moving equipment and production machinery.

Skills & Abilities

Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Preventive maintenance knowledge.

Problem-solving and urgency.

Attention to safety and detail.

Ability to read instructions manuals diagrams and maintenance documentation.

Teamwork and communication with Production QA Warehouse and Maintenance leadership.

Knowledge of GMP PPE and lockout/tagout requirements.
