Job Overview
CSUSM MBA is offering one (1) Graduate Assistant position within each of the six (6) departments of the College of Business Administration for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Under immediate supervision the Graduate Assistant assists a regular faculty member or the teaching staff with various professional and technical duties associated generally with the subjects or programs in which the assistant is doing graduate work. This work should not take precedence over the successful completion of the graduate degree program by the student in a timely manner.
General Requirements of the Position:
Equivalent to the completion of the requirements for a bachelors degree
- Knowledge of the subject matter of the discipline in which assigned
Ability to relate well to others within the academic environment
Ability to supervise assist and train students
Ability to assist faculty in the conduct of special projects/research within the discipline
General Minimum Qualifications of the Position:
Registration in the CSUSM Specialized MBA degree program
Enrolled in courses toward the completion of the graduate degree during the appointment period
Anticipated Pay Rate
- Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3408-$6072 Monthly
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range commensurate with education and experience.
Instructional Student Assistants are non-exempt employees. CSU policy limits work assignments to no more than 20 hours in a week in all campus positions combined while students are in session.
