Job Summary

Position Summary

The Loss Protection Engineer is responsible for creating maintaining and improving Loss Protection Initiatives and providing technical expertise to support risk assessments and complex engineering projects. The role analyzes survey reports assesses unusual circumstances and conducts consultative visits to customer facilities. They offer specialized guidance on loss prevention strategies and answers underwriter and customer queries on loss control standards and programs.

What will your job entail

Job Responsibilities:Provides technical expertise to facilitate risk assessments that identify exposure and formulate recommendations to eliminate risk and external exposure impact and loss and implements loss prevention strategies to minimize the likelihood of incidents and claims related to engineering Loss Control reports sends out correspondence to underwriters regarding the findings and follows up to ensure timely site compliance with Loss Control site visits to ensure covered projects are inspected thoroughly and participates in the claims process by providing information related to loss control unusual circumstances and proposes alternative approaches in cases of incomplete or conflicting field survey Loss Control systems supports interpretation of risk assessment reports and translates information into risk quality ratings loss estimates through use of available tools and security assessments to determine adequacy of a vendor and their security proposals whether it is a case-by-case assessment or an approved vendor complex loss prevention engineering projects guiding each phase to ensure adherence to schedules budgets and quality standards and ensures that loss prevention engineering practices align with regulations and engineering construction and fire protection related knowledge to underwriters and clients to aid them in understanding more complex risks and conducts training workshops as relationships with clients acting as a trusted advisor on loss prevention strategies and collaborating on risk mitigation training and workshops to clients and internal stakeholders on loss prevention best practices and risk mitigation techniques. Work Experience and Education:Minimum of 5 years of experience in Loss Prevention Risk Management with a Bachelors degree or 3 years and a Masters degree is degree required Masters degree preferred; Engineering and Risk management preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience & Certifications: Professional Engineer License (PE) required. Loss Control Professional (LCP) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) a plus

The target salary range for this position is $78050.00 - $80000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors such as training transferable skills work experience licensure and certification business needs and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
