Job Summary
We are pleased to announce that we are seeking qualified applicants for a temporary Computer/STEM Lab Assistant for our RSD Summer Learning Program. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team that supports the efforts of making success possible for all Redmond students.
Timeframe:
- Required teacher professional development and planning includes a total of 133 hours:
- Four (4) 2.5 hour sessions (dates: May 26 June 2 after 4:00 pm; TBD on remaining 5 hrs)
- One (1) 7 hour session Thursday July 16 (school set up)
- One (1) 4 hr session Friday August 14 (school wrap up)
- Elementary Summer Learning will run FOUR weeks (Monday through Thursday);
- Week 1: July 20-23
- Week 2: July 27-30
- Week 3: August 3-6
- Week 4: August 10-13
- Student hours are tentatively 9:00 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
- Lab Assistant contract hours are tentatively 8:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
- 7 hours/day; 16 days
- Includes 30 min unpaid lunch
- One 10-minute paid break
Qualified candidates will have the following minimum qualifications:
- Hold a current Computer/STEM Lab Assistant position within the Redmond School District (K-12 grades)
- Experience building relationships with youth.
- Commit to continuous professional growth.
- Passionate for working with elementary age children.
Responsibilities Include:
- Attend required sessions of district professional development and preparation (see Timeframe above for more details)
- Provide support for students
- Develop and collaboratively plan engaging lessons that enrich grade-level learning.

*Employees will be compensated at their regular rate of pay(will be adjusted for COLA once bargained). Open to all current RSD Computer Lab/STEAM Assistants.
