Assistant Technician (CMT Lab)
Job Summary
Join our team as a full-time Assistant Technician (CMT Lab) in Malaga and kick-start your career in construction materials testing. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work takes pride in accuracy and is looking for long-term career growth in a supportive laboratory environment.
Youll be involved in testing construction materials using both destructive and non-destructive methods while also gaining exposure to chemical testing sample preparation and quality-focused lab processes.
What youll be doing:
- Assist with preparing collecting and organising samples for testing
- Carry out routine laboratory testing and support equipment calibration under guidance
- Help maintain laboratory equipment and keep work areas clean safe and well organised
- Record and correlate test data accurately and assist with preparing basic reports
- Work closely with the team to support efficient day-to-day lab operations
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and take part in a positive team culture
- Support other laboratory duties as required
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role youll bring:
- Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques or any relevant qualification
- Previous laboratory experience
- WA C Class Drivers Licence
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following safe work practices
- A positive reliable and team-focused approach
