Were on the lookout for a Specialist Business Development to join our Marketplace team in Malaysia. This is a unique opportunity for a driven and experienced sales professional to make a direct impact on foodpandas growth. This role is based in Penang and reports directly to the Shops Commercial Lead.
Responsibilities:
- As a Specialist Business Development youll play a pivotal role in driving growth across our marketplace by:
- Leading the execution of strategic sales plans to onboard new vendors to the foodpanda platform.
- Introducing foodpandas suite of services and solutions to prospective partners through both in-person and virtual meetings.
- Building and managing a robust sales pipeline identifying new business opportunities through proactive outreach and market research.
- Negotiating and closing high-value deals with key partners across the F&B FMCG and retail sectors.
- Ensuring a seamless handover to the Vendor Onboarding team and supporting activation efforts for newly signed accounts.
- Gathering and analyzing market insights to identify emerging trends competitor activities and opportunities for growth.
Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams including Marketing Operations and Account Management to ensure exceptional partner experiences.
Qualifications :
What you need to be successful
- 2-3 years of experience in B2B sales business development or partnership rolespreferably within F&B retail or FMCG industries.
- Proven track record of consistently closing deals and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent negotiation presentation and analytical skills.
- Experience using Salesforce or other CRM tools is a plus.
- Bonus: Experience in selling tech or software solutions to businesses.
