Job SummaryThe Drivability Calibration Lead is responsible for leading the calibration activities focused on vehicle drivability ensuring optimal performance comfort and responsiveness across various driving conditions. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with hardware software and validation teams to deliver high-quality calibration for internal combustion engines (ICE) hybrid or electric powertrains. Key Responsibilities: ØLead drivability calibration activities for assigned vehicle programs from development to production.ØLead drivability calibration team size of approx. 10 membersØCollaborate with simulation and modeling teams to predict and refine drivability behavior..ØInterface with OEMs and internal stakeholders to align on drivability targets and customer expectationsØInterface with multiple External development Stake holders ( AVL FEV Punch AISIN)ØMentor junior calibration engineers and support team development.ØLead the Joint evaluation sign off drives together with Customer & ConsultantsØDefine and execute calibration strategies for throttle response torque delivery gear shift quality and pedal mapping.ØConduct vehicle testing in diverse environments (e.g. altitude hot/cold climate urban/rural roads).ØAnalyze drivability metrics using tools like INCA ETAS ØSupport issue resolution through root cause analysis and calibration calibration changes and maintain traceability in version control systems
