Job Summary
The Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center invites applications for a full-time 12-month non-tenure track Clinical Instructor with an expected start date of July 1 2026. Faculty responsibilities include teaching student advisement university and professional service overseeing the admissions processwith opportunities to participate in clinical practice. Faculty will be expected to disseminate scholarly work in accordance with professional and college guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Clinical education/supervision of graduate students.
- Direct evidence-based early intervention service to clients and their families.
- Service to the department university and professional communities.
- Participate in scholarship activities such as research presentations publications related to interprofessional education pediatrics autismand/or early intervention.
- Clinical education supervision of students in speech-language pathology on interdisciplinary practices in collaboration with speech-language pathologists.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:Masters Degree from an institution accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education.
EXPERIENCE:One (1) year of clinical experience.
LICENSES:NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapist. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three (3) years of professional experience in occupational therapy specializing in autism and early intervention (Birth-5 years).
- Experience providing assessment and treatment services to children ages 1-5 with autism or related developmental disorders.
- Experience with clinical supervision desired.
- Prior experience in interprofessional education or practice.
- Excellent interpersonal communications and presentation skills.

THE COLLEGE OF HEALTH PROFESSIONS
The College of Health Professions ( serves as the administrative home for allied health programs offered through the Departments of Audiology and Speech Pathology Department of Diagnostic and Health Sciences Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
