ID-LB Cabling Infrastructure Tech at ADSIPL expectation from role are:

Adhere to security and safety best practices in the data center.
oExtensive knowledge of cable infrastructure installation and testing
oAbility to direct team members in installation and relocation of network equipment and cabling on a large-scale basis
oExperience managing cable test management software such as Fluke linkware to maintain an accurate Cabling infrastructure database
oExperience with fault isolating and troubleshooting cabling within live networks including LAN and WAN
oExcellent written spoken interpersonal communication and reporting skills
oUnderstanding of test equipment (power meter / light source OTDR VFL network analyzer copper / fiber cabling test equipment)
oMust work well with little supervision individually and in a team environment
oSupervise technicians and provide on-the-job training when required
oProvide regular feedback on the performance of technicians
oMust be able to direct a team effectively and efficiently
oMust possess proven problem solving skills critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read write and give oral presentations
oMust be able to work at heights off a ladder and in confined spaces lift up to 18kg and move up to 23kg
oAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities
oProficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook to document track and manage projects.
oAbility to work under pressure and deadlines
oThorough understanding of Cat 6 and OM3 OS2 fiber optic cabling systems
oProper use of all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks.
oExperience of troubleshooting fiber optic network cables (Using fiber tester power meter etc.)
oEnglish & Local language fluency

Basic Qualifications

oMinimum 3 years of structured cabling experience
oMinimum 3 years working in Data center environment
oMinimum 3-5 years of experience leading group of technicians
oGeneral comprehension of the various components and sub-components of data center infrastructure
oAbility to read and understand CAD drawings
oBICSI Certification preferred
oBasic networking knowledge
oProject coordination / management experience

Preferred Qualifications :

o5 years of structured cabling experience in a data center environment with deep hands-on knowledge of Cat 6/6A copper and OM3/OS2 fiber optic systems.

oBICSI Installer 2 (Copper and/or Fiber) or BICSI Technician (BCTT) certification. RCDD designation is a plus.

o35 years leading and mentoring cabling technician teams with a proven record of delivering large-scale cable installation and relocation projects on time.

oProficiency with cabling test tools including OTDRs Fluke LinkWare power meters VFLs and network analyzers with experience maintaining accurate cabling infrastructure databases.

oDemonstrated ability to fault-isolate and troubleshoot live LAN and WAN cabling issues with minimal network disruption.

oExperience reading and interpreting CAD drawings and as-built documentation.

oStrong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously across cross-functional teams.

oProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Outlook Word) for documentation reporting and project tracking.

oDiploma or degree in Electronics Telecommunications Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.

oFluency in English and the local language with strong written and verbal communication skills.

- 2 years of computer networking experience
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field
- Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds

- Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear cable management hot/cold aisle containment)
