Job Summary
Catholic Charities Maine Educational Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired Children currently has a Full-Time opening for a TVI Assistant.
The TVI Assistant is aparaprofessionalwhoprovidesin-person instructional and program supportto children (ages 022) who are blind or visually impaired. The TVI Assistant works under theguidanceof the Teacher of Blind and Visually Impaired Children (TVI) to implement educational programming that supports student access and independence in the least restrictive includesinstructional activities designed by the TVI in areas such as Brailleprep assistive technology independent living skills and social development.
This position isprimarily field-based/in-person with responsibilities carried out in homes schools or community settings while collaborating with a remotely based TVI.

Qualifications
Qualifications: Bachelors degree required (education special education rehabilitation services or related field preferred not required).
Experience working with children particularly those with disabilities preferred. Experience supporting students with visual impairments Braille or assistive technology is a plus. Experience working in educational or home-based service settings preferred.
Regular travel between service locations is required. Employee must maintaina valid drivers license and clean driving record
