Facility Generalist

FULLTIME: 5-Month Assignment
LOCATION: Quincy/Marina Bay MA
SCHEDULE:After probation period the schedule will be 9:30 am to 6:00pm - With 3-week On Call Rotation
PAY RANGE: $35/HR

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general facility maintenance including minor repairs cleaning and organization.
Assist in managing workspaces conference rooms and common areas for efficiency and cleanliness.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance repairs and supplies.
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address issues.
Support health and safety compliance by monitoring emergency systems and safety protocols.
Assist with office moves furniture setup and workspace reconfiguration.
Maintain inventory of facility supplies and reorder as necessary.
Respond to facility-related service requests from employees.
Ensure heating cooling and lighting systems are functioning properly.
Support sustainability initiatives by managing waste reduction and energy efficiency efforts.

Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in facility maintenance or a related role is preferred.
Basic knowledge of building systems HVAC plumbing Carpentry Fabrication Painting & Plastering and electrical maintenance.
Concrete repair and installation
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift and move equipment or furniture as needed.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance procedures.
Proficiency in using facility management software Service zone or similar (preferred).

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in facility management is a plus.
3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.

Working Conditions:
May require lifting bending and standing for extended periods.
Work may involve indoor and outdoor tasks in varying conditions.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving and takes pride in maintaining a well-functioning facility.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels such as from office equipment.
• The ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Use of computers and technology
