The opportunity:

As a Project Specialist (technical) at Hitachi Energy NZ Ltd. you will be instrumental in the successful planning execution and delivery of transformer projects ensuring they meet objectives deadlines and budget. You will provide technical expertise across various project phases contributing to Hitachis commitment to innovation and operational excellence.

How youll make an impact:

  • You will manage transformer projects from handover to delivery monitor project progress identify deviations and implement corrective actions to ensure projects stay on track.

  • You will facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams stakeholders and external vendors.

  • You will prepare and present regular project status reports identify assess and manage project risks and issues developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.

  • You will ensure adherence to Hitachis project management methodologies quality standards and compliance requirements contribute to the refinement of project management processes and tools within the organization and ensure the practice of safe working habits for self & others; comply with the company & customer health & safety policies.

  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background:

  • Bachelors degree or Masters of Science degree in engineering.

  • More than 5years of experience in transformer manufacturing or design.

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.

  • Strong understanding of various project management methodologies exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving analytical and decision-making abilities experience working in a global or multinational corporate environment is a plus.

  • Fluency in English is required.
