A seminar focusing on an aspect of writing for or about the theatre. May be taken more than once provided the subtitle is different.THEME: Creation for Radio Theatre
DESCRIPTION: This course is a combination of theoretical exploration and practical workshop in the creation of radio theatre focusing on radio performance through dramaturgy of sound voice and sonic composition. Students will read and analyse theory of radio drama and develop skills in radio theatre techniques through hands-on exercises and projects that explore the full range of sonic stagecraft. By the end of the course students will have produced a short broadcast-ready radio theatre piece while gaining an understanding of the history and artistic traditions of the form.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

1. MA MFA or equivalent in theatre studies. 2. Thorough knowledge of dramatic structures and history of drama. 3. Practical experience in professional play development (dramaturgy) and/or playwriting. 4. Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
