Job Summary
The Center for Regenerative Medicine (CReM) of Boston University and Boston Medical Center is seeking an Administrative Assistant to work in a medium-sized research/teaching department on the Boston University Medical Campus comprised of 10 labs and 70-75 members. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and will enjoy working in a department that is driven by its research mission and expansive vision. The tentative start date for this role is June1st 2026.
Specific tasks will include:
- Serve as the executive assistant to the Director of the Center.
- Perform daily administrative duties as required by faculty and delegated by the Administrative Director.
- Coordinate guest speaker visits including booking accommodations and creating guest itineraries.
- Submit reimbursements and reconcile Center transactions.
- Process invoices help maintain the website and liaise with customers for the CReM iPSC Cores cell shipments and MTAs.
- Coordinate and conduct group meetings and events for the Center.
- Distribute Center-wide communications and monthly newsletters.
- Maintain the Centers website and social media accounts.
- Order supplies and ensure the general maintenance of the facility.
- Manage the front desk welcoming visitors guests interviewees and collaborators.
- Conduct onboarding for students faculty and staff including initial administrative training and e-onboarding.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in data entry and management tools.
- Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
