Program Manager Core Banking

Client is currently seeks a Core Banking Program Manager to join our team in Jersey City NJ. Hybrid 3-4 days to onsite is must

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager with deep expertise in Core Banking systems to lead large-scale transformation and implementation programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing complex multi-year banking programs driving delivery across business and technology teams and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

This role requires leadership across end-to-end program lifecycle stakeholder management at senior levels and successful delivery of core banking initiatives such as system implementations upgrades migrations and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end delivery of Core Banking transformation programs (implementation migration upgrades)

Define program strategy roadmap and execution plan aligned with business objectives

Manage multiple projects/workstreams within the program ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery

Engage with senior stakeholders (CXOs Business Heads IT Leadership) to drive alignment and decision-making

Oversee vendor management including core banking platform providers (e.g. Temenos Finacle TCS BaNCS Flexcube)

Ensure effective risk issue and dependency management across the program

Drive governance frameworks including steering committees reporting and escalation mechanisms

Lead business and technology integration ensuring seamless alignment between functional and technical teams

Oversee data migration testing and cutover planning for core banking systems

Ensure compliance with regulatory security and audit requirements

Drive change management communication and user adoption strategies

Monitor and report program performance KPIs and financials

Required Skills & Qualifications:

15 years of experience in banking/financial services with significant exposure to Core Banking systems

Proven experience managing large-scale transformation or implementation programs

Strong knowledge of leading core banking platforms such as:

- Temenos

- Finacle

- TCS BaNCS

- Oracle Flexcube

Expertise in program and project management methodologies (Agile Waterfall Hybrid)

Strong understanding of:

- Core banking operations (Retail Corporate Payments Lending)

- Data migration and system integration

- Banking regulatory and compliance requirements

Experience in vendor and stakeholder management at senior levels

Strong financial and budget management capabilities
