Job Summary
Chapman Tripp is New Zealands leading commercial law firm. Our AI & Digital Solutions team plays a critical role in driving innovation enabling our people to deliver exceptional client outcomes and ensuring the firm remains at the forefront of legal technology.
We are now looking for a Business Analyst to join our collaborative Auckland team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across legal technology AI initiatives and digital projects that improve the way we work and support our legal practice.
Working closely with legal professionals business services teams and external tech partners you will help identify business needs analyse processes define requirements and support the delivery of innovative technology solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Gathering and documenting business requirements user stories and process flows
- Analysing workflows and identifying opportunities for improvement automation and technology enablement
- Supporting the evaluation implementation and optimisation of legal applications and AI tools
- Contributing to AI initiatives including pilot programmes change support and user adoption
- Facilitating workshops demonstrations and user acceptance testing
- Supporting project delivery training implementation and handover into operational support
- Contributing to continuous improvement by keeping up to date with legal technology and AI developments
You will ideally have:
- 3 to 5 years experience in a business analyst or similar role preferably in legal or professional services environments
- Experience in requirements gathering process mapping and documentation
- Experience supporting technology implementations including testing and change activities
- Familiarity with AI and automation tools and legal technology platforms MS 365 and data and reporting tools
- Strong communication analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
- A curious proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
