Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support patient care and clinical operations in a busy outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties while working closely with physicians nurses and office staff to ensure quality patient care and smooth clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient progress information
• Assist physicians during exams and clinical procedures
• Prepare trays and supplies for injections and treatments
• Administer injections and assist with pap smears and other procedures
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas in a clean and organized manner
• Assist with scheduling chart preparation filing and reception duties
• Coordinate insurance authorizations for:
  • Physical therapy
  • MRI and CT imaging
  • Surgical procedures
• Obtain referrals and referral extensions from primary care providers
• Implement nursing care activities under the direction of nursing leadership
• Observe and report patient responses to treatments and procedures
• Participate in unit operations and patient flow management
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient care coordination

Requirements

• Active LPN license required
• Previous outpatient or acute care experience preferred
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records strongly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Excellent patient care and customer service skills
