As a Patient Service Specialist youll play an important role in creating a smooth positive experience for patients while supporting daily clinic operations.
In this role youll not only manage scheduling and front-end processes but also help support your team by sharing knowledge leading daily huddles and identifying opportunities to improve workflows. Youll work closely with pre-certification teams and stay up to date on payer requirements to ensure accuracy and efficiency across the clinic.

Position Details:
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient scheduling registration and insurance verification
- Support and mentor other Patient Service Specialists
- Assist with daily team huddles and workflow improvements
- Collaborate with pre-certification teams to ensure payer alignment
- Stay up to date on process changes and system updates
- Communicate updates and support a positive team environment
- Help maintain efficient patient-focused clinic operations
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office typing)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with patients and team members
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with scheduling insurance verification and referrals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
- 2 years in scheduling insurance verification or prior authorization
Additional Skills:
- Epic (RC/EMR) experience preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-10 insurance processes or self-pay collections
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to bend reach kneel and move throughout the day
