The CAR Supervisor position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training development and opportunity for career progression.

Responsibilities

What youll do...

  • Create a safety culture and apply and implement workplace policies

  • Lead/coach skilled trades/maintenance personnel in all aspects of asset management including but not limited to: asset availability (mean time to repair mean time between failure) cycle time preventative maintenance predictive and condition-based monitoring technologies.

  • Lead/coach teams in leveraging new and existing machine monitoring tools to identify constraints in the system and systematically reduce and eliminate interruptions in production flow.

  • Supervise evaluate and empower an hourly team that produces manufactured products and organize workflow to meet quality and daily productivity requirements

  • Ensure safety quality and productivity objectives are met through coaching standardized work verifying lines are running safely smoothly and producing quality parts

  • Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members union and management teams.

  • Communicate effectively with hourly team members leaders business partners and customers

  • Administer the CBA (collective bargaining agreement) consistently and effectively

  • Evaluate team member performance and encourage continuous improvement



Qualifications

Youll have...

  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls/automation

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience

  • 1 years of maintenance or automation experience

  • Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook

  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours including nights and weekends

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Safety and quality experience

  • Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified

  • Knowledge of constraint management principles

  • Prior experience managing a unionized workforce
