JOB SUMMARY

The Cellar Door Attendant is a brand ambassador entrusted with delivering refined memorable and commercially impactful guest experiences to visitors to the Estate. This role is responsible for presenting our wines with knowledge and sophistication as well as driving direct-to-consumer engagement sales performance and long-term customer relationships.

The successful candidate will combine advanced wine knowledge (WSET Level 2 essential) with polished service delivery and a strong commercial mindset.

KEY DUTIES

• Ensure the Leeuwin Estate Cellar Doorphilosophy of excellence is consistently delivered across all interactionsmaintaining the highest service standards and client expectations.
• Deliver engaging educational and premium wine tastings that reflect Leeuwin Estates reputation.
• Provide in-depth education to guests on Leeuwin Estates wines winemaking philosophyvineyard practices and the Margaret River region.
• Confidentlyguide purchasing decisions including premium tier wines museum releaseslarge formats and vertical selections.
• Drive the Leeuwin Estate direct to consumer (DTC) Cellar Door relationships buildingenduring customer relationships with high-value customers to generate repeat visitation and long-term purchasing behaviour.
• Capture accurate and meaningful customer data to support ongoing DTC communication andengagement strategies.
• Assist with all customer wine tastings tour group visits trade guests immersive tours and tastings and VIP customers.
• Stock and restock merchandise wine and other items for sale as required.
• Maintain presentation cleanliness and organisation of Cellar Door and all tasting areas.
• Pack and prepare wines for shipment.
• Assist with stocktake and restocking of Cellar Door back-of-house areas.
• Assist with set-up and pack-down for events and functions.
• Ensure all conduct meets the requirements set out in Leeuwin Estates OHS manual and complies with Australian Liquor Laws.
• Availability to work weekends public holidays and peak tourism periods.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 2 years experience in a premium hospitality luxury retail or high-end cellar door environment.
• Demonstrated success within a direct-to-consumer setting.
• WSET Level 2 or equivalent (essential). WSET Level 3 or equivalent (highly desirable).
• Advanced wine knowledge across key international regions and styles.
• A strong understanding of Margaret Rivers regional and stylistic characteristics.
• Refined communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with collectors trade and international clientele.
• Highly developed consultative selling skills with a commercial mindset.
• Proficient in POS and customer management systems.
• Current WA RSA certification.
