Job Summary
Were looking for a Senior Disbursements Associate to join our Insurance Operations this role you are responsible for the accurate timely and compliant release of life insurance proceeds and related payments. The team plays a critical role in delivering on John Hancock Lifes promise to customers by ensuring beneficiaries and policyholders receive funds with efficiency care and adherence to regulatory standards.
Position Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and capture case information in the system following established procedures
- Exercise sound judgment and perform thorough quality checks to ensure accuracy and prevent financial errors
- Ensure timely compliant release of life insurance proceeds and related payments in line with regulatory standards
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to enhancing team performance metrics
- Support overall operations by handling assigned tasks and delivering efficient customer-focused service
Required Qualifications:
- Atleast 1 year of experience in back-office operations or shared services
- Undergraduates may also apply provided they have at least 2 years of BPO backoffice or administrative experience
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel Word PowerPoint); familiarity with Streetscape BPM LARS and licensing processes is an advantage
- Amenable for fixed night shift
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong background in back-office industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to interpret data system reports and policy records
- Strong communication and coordination skills
