Network Analyst, Student Worker
Job Summary
The Network Analyst student worker provides daytoday operational support for SAITs network environment ensuring reliability performance and security across campus. This position works handson with network hardware cloud networking unified communications and application delivery systems while contributing to projects troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements that enhance SAITs technology landscape.
How youll contribute
- Support daily network operations by resolving trouble tickets fulfilling work orders and maintaining stable network performance.
- Configure network environments as part of project teams to support server software and application connectivity.
- Optimize network performance by monitoring systems troubleshooting outages scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects.
- Install and maintain network equipment including firewalls routers switches wireless systems DNS DHCP and authentication and authorization tools.
- Support cloud networking by configuring and maintaining networking components in Azure and AWS.
- Manage load balancers by configuring and supporting Application Delivery Controllers and loadbalancing solutions.
- Support unified communications by working with Cisco Unified Communications Avaya IP Office and Microsoft Teams to maintain SAITs phone systems.
- Investigate network faults by diagnosing issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain firmware and updates by ensuring network equipment is running the latest releases.
- Collaborate across the institution by working effectively with staff students management and partners.
- Drive innovation by proposing new technologies and platforms to enhance SAITs network infrastructure.
- Pursue continuous learning through training publications lab work and professional meetups.
- Model SAIT values by demonstrating SAITs core values and competencies in all work.

Qualifications
- Must be enrolled part-time or full-time in a SAIT Bachelors degree program or diploma for the duration of the contract
- Experience in networking and telecommunications operation deployment support upgrades and deployment is considered an asset.
- CNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification Cloud certifications - Azure Administrator and/or AWS Certified Advanced NetworkingPalo Alto PCCET PCNSA or aboveAruba associate certifications Mobility Clearpass switching is considered an asset
