Job Summary

An exciting opportunity exists to join our Audit and Risk Team. The Quality Officer plays a key role in fostering an organisational culture that delivers high-quality safe and participant-centric services. You will assist in implementing and ensuring compliance with essential quality and safety initiatives through collaboration across Westhaven.

    Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in ensuring services align with national and state legislative and regulatory requirements.

  • Implementation of quality management systems including quality improvement plans risk registers and organisational audits.

  • Support quality assurance with administrative tasks and audit monitoring processes.

  • Collect collate and analyse data for internal Quality and Risk audits.

  • Conduct Frontline Quality and Risk audits across various Westhaven locations.

  • Oversee Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) initiatives including incident notifications and investigations under guidance.

  • Assist in the implementation of Westhavens 2027 Strategy.


To be at the forefront of this opportunity you will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS and Quality and Safeguarding Framework and Human Rights.

  • Familiarity with Child Safe Standards and Australian Work Health Safety Legislation.

  • Previous experience in a quality role with a sound understanding of quality management systems and processes including continuous improvement principles internal auditing practice incident management and the ability to coordinate quality improvement plans

  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail including a working knowledge of Google Suite (or similar) and be highly numerate with a track record of data analysis and an ability to interpret data for a variety of different stakeholder needs

  • Ability to self-motivate and self-manage workloads to meet deadlines prioritise and use initiative with a positive solution-focused attitude

  • Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communication skills including negotiation skills and the ability to present information to various stakeholders and facilitate meetings

    Westhaven regards the following as highly desirable:

  • Experience in disability support health care community or NFP organisations

  • A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419).

  • Previous experience in a quality or WHS-related role.


    Essential requirements of the role:

  • A current NSW Drivers licence

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC)
