We are seeking a skilled PLC / Automation Engineer to design program maintain and optimise PLC-based control systems in a cement processing and mining operation. The role supports plant automation reliability and continuous improvement.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Design develop modify and troubleshoot PLC programs (e.g. Siemens Allen-Bradley and Schneider)
Maintain and upgrade PLC SCADA and automation systems
Develop and test logic diagrams HMI screens and control strategies
Provide technical support during commissioning shutdowns and process changes
Troubleshoot control system failures and instrumentation issues
Ensure compliance with safety environmental and engineering standards

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Instrumentation / Control
- Mechatronics (or similar)
37 years experience in PLC programming & industrial automation
Strong knowledge of:
- PLC / DCS / SCADA systems
- Industrial communication networks
Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting large-scale systems
Cement or heavy industry experience is advantageous
