As an EPA Assembler III is responsible for building wiring and testing electrical control panels used in rail systems. These panels are critical for powering and controlling locomotives passenger trains and related infrastructure.
Key Activities
- Ferrule crimping identification and application.
- Strip crimp and terminate large and small gauge wires and cables.
- Basic electrical tooling skills.
- Able to operate electrical hand tools in a safe manner.
- Able to use torque wrenches/tools.
- Able to route and organize wires to standards.
- Knowledge of Extraction/Insertion tools.
- Ability to distinguish colors for wiring familiarity with electrical components such as circuit breakers and relays.
- The ability to strip wires using correct tools.
- Able to read cable drawings cable list cable identification and cable protection.
- Wiring of electrical panels and connectors.
- Read and interpret schematics drawings and prints to assemble and install electrical wiring cabling and other mechanical and electrical components.
- Ability to read and follow manuals parts lists and work instructions.
- Able to operate Cembre crimper and Spade crimping.
- Able to identify and create bundles and collar markers electric device identification.
- Ability to identify C parts.
- Ability to identify the correct tools for the job.
- Install solder sleeves megabit connectors of high voltage terminal blocks.
- Understand and implement redline corrections.
- Ability to follow specific highly detailed instructions with precision.

- 5 years of experience
- Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Clear communication with team members and supervisors
- Works well in a team environment contributing to collective goals
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Adjusts to new technologies and processes as needed
