The Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Department is seeking an Engineering Lab Lead. This individual will collaborate closely with other Lab Leads Engineering staff and Technicians to ensure the Engineering Labs adhere to established company policies and provide hardware development support to program teams.

Raytheon Hardware Engineering provides Hardware Design and Analysis Materials and Process Engineering Producibility and Prototyping Product Integrity and Test Equipment Development services for the Land Air Space Naval and Advanced Technology products designed developed produced and serviced at Raytheon. We use state-of-the-art tools processes and technologies with capabilities encompassing a broad range of technical disciplines including electrical mechanical materials aerospace and manufacturing engineering.

This role is for a Lab Lead to support Tucson AZ Hardware Engineering this role you will manage and implement engineering lab strategic projects and day-to-day administrative functions within multiple engineering labs with specific focus on safety security and compliance using established doctrine and governance. You will be creative and innovative possessing strong organizational coordination planning analytical and problem-solving this position you must be able to collaborate with customers employees and senior leaders when implementing process and procedural changes.

This position is an onsite role in Tucson AZ. The position will be covering multiple labs across the site.

What You Will Do

• Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policies
• Management coordination and implementation of Environmental Health Safety and Sustainment
• Property & Metrology Management including maintenance of equipment service contracts and ongoing equipment repairs
• Perform cost analysis ensure task completion within approved budgets
• Perform lab purchase requests through SAP SRM and Vallen while providing process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM)
• Oversee audit/assessment preparation. Overseeing Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program; develop corrective action plans and assist in the development of long-range objectives including engineering customer goals
• Safeguarding of classified/proprietary material hardware and documentation utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations
• Develop and implement communication plans providing consulting support to functional and engineering customer management
• Work to influence stakeholders within and outside responsible areas at an operational level regarding policies practices and procedures
• Work autonomously with limited oversight; provide professional input guidance and problem solving
• This position requires some physical exertion while standing sitting or walking working outside
• Local travel in the general area may be required with occasional travel outside the local area

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2-years prior relevant experience
• Experience in an engineering lab environment area overseeing or implementing safety security compliance and/or property management

Qualifications We Prefer

• Strong mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills
• Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations
• Experience with working directly with engineers technicians and leadership in an engineering lab environment in the areas of safety security compliance and property management
• Experience with EHS NISPOM JAFAN and Foreign Object Elimination
• Ability to organize and track Capital and Expense assets
• Ability to build positive lasting relationships with customers
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel PowerPoint Word)

  The salary range for this role is 68900 USD - 131100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
