Lead the development of transmission asset management strategies studies and tools to support decision-making including:
Asset lifecycle strategy and renewal plans
Prioritization and optimization framework for Capital and O&M investments
Asset trending and risk analysis
Transmission reliability analytics
Gap assessments and industry best-practice benchmarking studies to identify areas for improvement in the organization
Provide input to Transmission General TariffApplication proceedings including business case development and responses to information requests
Support business planning functions by developing scope and prioritizing Capital and O&M work to align with corporate objectives including:
Transmission Capital Maintenance (TCM) workplan
Transmission O&M workplan (both preventive and corrective maintenance)
Liaise with internal and third-party stakeholders (e.g. AESO) to enhance upfront work planning and ensure efforts are fully integrated
Supervise team members and be actively involved in performance management plans coaching and succession planning
Work with team members to ensure all team members have career development plans and goals are being met
Provide visible leadership to ensure compliance with the corporate policies and best practices related to Health Safety and Environment
What Youll Bring:
Bachelors degree in engineering
Professional Engineer (.) designation with APEGA is required.
10-12 years of utility experience
4-5 years of experience in a senior and/or leadership role
Knowledge of asset management and business planning in a Transmission & Distribution (T&D) utility is an asset
Understanding of a regulated utility business environment
Good knowledge of ATCOs current Asset Management technologies including Maximo ESRI PI Historian etc. or similar applications (e.g. SAP) is an asset
Facilitation skills to gather subject matter expertise and work toward consensus in the development of strategy framework and/or scope of work
Demonstrated experience in aligning utility decision-making processes against ISO 55000 and 55001 is an asset
Agility is fundamentally crucial to our success
