DescriptionPOSITIONSUMMARY: Responsible for assessing client drug and alcohol usedevelopingand implementation of a treatment amember of an integrated multi-disciplinary services team.
DUTIES:
Complete drug and alcohol histories and initial screening assessmentsfor clients.
Interact productively within a multi-disciplinary team andprovide case management services.
Assistwith the development of individual servicestrategies for clients.
Contribute to and coordinate the development and updating of treatment plans
Responsible for collecting and completing statistical information case files programformsand providingappropriate documentationper program requirement and agency needs.
Facilitatepsycho-educational groups and individual sessions.
Collaborate with probation officers.
Provide counseling services to youth in juvenile hall or in the community.
Provides individual and group activities toidentifiedparticipants.
Schedules and presents educational workshops independently and/or with co-facilitator.
Provide outreach and engagement materials for schoolsite(social media school functionsetc).
Provide Youth Entry Intervention (family engagement assessment and treatment planning case management and evidence-based counseling).
Provide Ongoing Support (peer recovery youth leadership & strength development culturally competent approaches school and educational supports and community involvement).
Develop andmaintainclose workingrelationshipas a liaison with all assigned agencies and organizations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
At the time of hire mustpossessa CaliforniaState recognizedSUDCertificationor isrequiredwithin five years ofinitialregistration.
BA or BS in related field accept equivalent experience in counseling/social servicessetting.
Minimum two (2)years experienceas aSubstance Use Disorder Counselor.
Thorough knowledge of 12-Step Recovery concepts ofAA/NA and how toutilizein the treatment program.
For a person in recovery a minimum of 2 years clean and sober isrequired.
Strong group facilitation skills.
Understanding issues specific toyouth andadults in recovery.
Knowledge of community resources.
Valid First Aid and CPR/Pro/AEDre-certificationas necessary.
Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints.
Pass agency paid TB (Tuberculosis)screening.
Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing ifrequired.
Valid California drivers license and proof of auto insurancecoveragerequired.
Pass agency paid MVR clearance with no more than 2 points - if you are under the age of 25 our insurance company will not allowanypoints.
