In this role youll
- Support Councils destinationmarketing deliver the monthly Whats Happening events newsletter manage the imagegallery maintain the website and manage and grow Councils destination socialmedia channels.
- Actively support and encouragetourism and events businesses to establish and maintain accurate tourismlistings and promote tourism through social media newsletters and TheUndiscovered website.
- Maintain positive and productiveworking relationships with tourism operators event organisers and communitystakeholders.
- Assist the Coordinator EconomicDevelopment and Tourism and support and liaise with Councils VisitorInformation Centre Officer to achieve positive tourism outcomes.
What were looking for
- Demonstratedexperience in tourism marketing or communications with a focus on promotingplacebased experiences events or businesses through digital or publicfacingchannels.
- Provenability to manage and deliver engaging content across digital platformsincluding social media websites and/or e-newsletters with an understandingof audience engagement and brand presentation.
- Strongwritten communication skills with the ability to produce clear accurate andengaging content suitable for newsletters websites and destination marketingchannels.
- Experiencecoordinating managing or curating visual content for promotional useincluding maintaining image libraries liaising with photographers orsuppliers and ensuring content is fit for purpose.
- Demonstratedability to work collaboratively with tourism operators event organisers orcommunity stakeholders to support the promotion of activities and experiencesthrough Councilmanaged channels.
- Welldevelopedorganisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities workwith initiative and contribute positively to a collaborative team environmentin support of shared outcomes.
