Job Description Summary
In compliance with Article 9 of the agreement between the PFT and the District probationary and tenured faculty are invited to apply to the following full-time tenure-track faculty vacancy. INTERNAL TRANSFER REVIEW END DATE : MAY 26 2026.

Desirable Qualifications
1. At least one year of community college experience within the last five (5) years with a diverse multi-ethnic student population. 2. Working knowledge of the Title 5 and other governmental regulations as they apply to students with disabilities; 3. Experience designing and preparing Student Educational Plans (SEPs) for community college students; 4. Ability to develop and maintain student counseling notes in SARS or similar electronic record keeping software in a timely and effective manner; 5. Knowledge of and experience using university articulation agreements and transfer requirements for counseling community college students; 6. Ability to use computer databases to retrieve student college and career information as well as knowledge of essential computer applications; 7. Knowledge and experience making appropriate college and community referrals; 8. Awareness of assistive technology and alternate media services for students with disabilities. 9. Knowledge of adapted materials designed to facilitate success among students with disabilities. 10. Ability to work with students with a variety of disabilities. 11. Possession of a California license as a Marriage and Family Therapist ( MFT ) Clinical Social Worker Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor ( LPCC ) or Psychologist (Psy.D)

Minimum Qualifications
1. Possession of a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in rehabilitation counseling; OR 2. Possession of a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in special education AND twenty-four (24) or more semester units in upper division or graduate level course work in counseling guidance student personnel psychology or social work ; OR 3. Possession of a Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in counseling guidance student personnel psychology career development or social welfare; and either twelve (12) or more semester units in upper division or graduate level course work specifically in counseling or rehabilitation of individual with disabilities OR two years of full-time experience or the equivalent in one or more of the following; A. Counseling or guidance for students with disabilities; OR B. Counseling and/or guidance in industry government public agencies military or private social welfare organizations in which the responsibilities of the position were predominantly or exclusively for persons with disabilities. OR 4. May submit a fully satisfied lifetime California Community College Disabled Student Programs and Services Instructor Credential authorizing service to teach courses in college courses for students with disabilities. OR 5. The equivalent qualifications. (Candidates who claim equivalency must provide conclusive evidence as clear and reliable on the college transcripts as required on the District Equivalency Application Form. Refer to the Equivalency Procedures below. This is not a process to waive the minimum qualifications.) Note: Foreign Degree(s) must be evaluated by an official foreign credentials/transcripts evaluation and translation service. 6. Applicant must have demonstrated cultural competency sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college staff faculty and students
