Job Summary
A student must meet the eligibility requirements to be considered for a student employee position. Eligibility requirements can be found at Skills/Aptitudes: Nominees must be Oakton student employees have completed three months full-time or six months part-time employment during June of the prior year through May of the current year and must be in good academic standing. Nominees will be judged on the following characteristics: reliability quality of work initiative professionalism and the uniqueness of the students contribution to the employer.
Essential Duties and Functions: Recipient of Student Employee of the Year Award.
Eligibility for Student Employment
A student is eligible to work as a student employee if:
- He or she meets the enrollment requirement.
- The student can show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- At time of hire the student has a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or first semester enrolled at Oakton.
- He or she is making satisfactory progress toward achieving their educational goals. Satisfactory progress mirrors Oaktons SOAP policy.
