About the role
We are seeking an experienced NetApp Support Engineer with 5 years of hands-on NetApp administration expertise to provide advanced troubleshooting root cause analysis and managed support for enterprise storage systems. You will handle critical incidents involving clustering data protocols (NFS/SMB/iSCSI/FC) SnapMirror replication and performance tuning while automating tasks and mentoring junior engineers.

Daily challenges

• Providing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex ONTAP storage system issues including clustering data protocols and hardware failures.
• Managing critical customer incidents involving SnapMirror replication data protection performance degradation and system upgrades while ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
• Automating routine tasks using Python or REST APIs document solutions and mentor junior engineers on NetApp best practices.

eXperience and skills required

• Core: 5 years administering NetApp FAS/AFF systems clustering storage virtual machines (SVMs) . Experience with SAN and networking. Experience with SAN switched administering and troubleshooting.
• Data Protocols: Expert-level NFS SMB/CIFS iSCSI FC configuration and troubleshooting.
• Data Protection: Snap Center SnapMirror replication SnapVault backups high-availability (HA) pair management.
• Troubleshooting: Root cause isolation performance analysis hardware replacement software/firmware upgrades.
• Cloud Integration: Experience with Storage Grid NetApp Cloud Insights Azure/AWS storage integration Cloud Volumes ONTAP.
• Storage Features: Snapshots clones (FlexClone) deduplication compression QoS policies.
• Scripting/Automation: Python or REST API automation for NetApp systems Ansible for storage.
• Certifications: NCIE (NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer) or NCSA/NCSS preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• Stand-by availability.
