The Opportunity
TVO is looking for a Bilingual (French/English) Learning Experience Designer for French course production who can apply a proven understanding of bestpractices in accessible student-centered online learning; has experience coordinating educationalcontent and can develop multimedia content for online learning.
You will collaborate with the TVO French Curriculum team to implement an active approach to accessibleinteractivity-leveraged online instructional design with a lens to equity inclusion andengagement. You will work with cross-functional teams to inform the development ofinteractive rigorous and relevant French course content that is rooted in inclusive design.
You ensure content is AODA compliant in keeping with TVOs quality and time requirements.
How you will make an impact
- Collaborate closely with Bilingual (French/English) Curriculum Specialists Producers Web Production team members and Web Developers to craft the learners experience for online learning.
- Propose storyboard and document interactive concepts that outline how an experience needs to be built (the blueprint to develop the digital tool).
- Utilize instructional design and learning experience design best practices in conjunction with teacher-led design considerations in the development of French content focusing on writing instructional language to align with the needs of the learning activity users.
- Work closely with Bilingual (French/English) Curriculum Specialists to craft instructional strategies and instructional language in course material.
- Collaborate and give input to Bilingual (French/English) Curriculum Specialists on how to adapt content for synchronous and asynchronous learning in an online environment.
- Create instructional materials including but not limited to videos interactive learning objects video and audio scripts.
- Communicate progress and opportunities throughout the life of a project.
- Comply withprocess andguiding principlesas well as contribute to iterative improvement of courses and course material.
- Ensure principles of inclusivity and legal requirements for accessibility are maintained incourse design.
- Ensure French course content is meaningfulappropriate and authentic for learners at all levels.
- Ensure French course quality ensuring an engaging learner experience.
- Uphold and contribute to theon-goingdevelopment of writing standards.
- Work with the Content & Media Management Team to ensure copyright compliance within existing budgets.
- Have experience with K to 12 and/or post-secondary online educational media experience. this would be an asset
- Performing other directly related duties.
What you will bring to TVO
- You have aminimum3 years of work experience in instructional design.
- You are a college or University graduate (or equivalent experience) in Instructional DesignEducation Digital Media Writing Communications etc.
- You have experience and knowledge of educational media.
- You have working knowledge of online production processes.
- You are motivated with the ability to work independently and productively in highly collaborative teams.
- You havedemonstratedflexibility with work assignments with the ability to work efficientlyestablishpriorities and work effectively under pressure to meet tight and shifting timelines.
- You are a proven self-starter with excellentinterpersonaltime management.
