We operate through two key divisions: Community Services which provides life skills in-home care and community access support and Social Enterprise which creates employment opportunities for people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
About the role:
We are currently seeking passionate and reliable Direct Support Workers to join our team across the Central Coast region.
Youll provide one-on-one support to people with disabilities or older adults helping them live comfortably and independently in their own homes.
Key responsibilities:
- Accompany clients to medical appointments social outings community events and recreational activities ensuring their safety and comfort while encouraging active participation.
- Facilitate meaningful social connections by joining clients for coffee walks or other leisure activities helping to reduce isolation and promote engagement.
- Help plan prepare and serve meals according to individual dietary needs and preferences supporting clients to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
- Support clients with light household chores such as cleaning laundry and tidying to help maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- For qualified workers assist with personal hygiene grooming dressing and toileting in a respectful and sensitive manner.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and where qualified assist with administration following care plans.
- Uphold the highest standards of privacy confidentiality and dignity when supporting clients respecting their rights and individual preferences.
- Observe and report any changes in client health or behaviour to the relevant supervisor to ensure timely and appropriate care.
- Work a variety of shifts including mornings evenings weekends and overnight as needed with the ability to choose hours that best fit your lifestyle.
What we are looking for:
- Certificate III or higher in Disability Aged Care Individual Support or equivalent preferred.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NSW Drivers License comprehensive insurance and access to reliable transport
- A caring patient and respectful approach to client support
- Previous experience in disability or aged care (essential if you do not hold an industry qualification)
