RESPONSIBILITIES

LBO Material BU

  • Working closely with the YMA RHQ Regional Business Owner (RBO) and Material BU organisation oversee the role-out and implementation of global and regional Material BU strategies in the YMA-SA / AAR regions.
  • Perform Material BU monthly reporting budgeting & forecasting for both RHQ and YMA-SA/AAR as required.
  • Facilitate YMA RHQ Material BU SME support in collaboration with local Business Units (BUs) Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) Front-End Sales Engineers (FSEs) EPC Sales & Proposal teams etc.
  • Participate in bi-directional information sharing with RHQ including project / customer / market / competitor intelligence and propose product / solution development enhancements acquisitions and / or support requirements to grow the Material business.
  • Coordinate regional visits by RHQ / YHQ Material BU members for business meetings customer visits conferences etc.

BDM Mining

  • Develop a clear landscape for the Mining business sector in the territory including key players size forward looking industry trends project opportunities and automation profile through on-the-ground intelligence gathering performed both externally and internally supplemented by data-driven analysis using appropriate project intelligence application platforms.
  • Responsibility for achievement of Mining-related annual sales targets in the territory.
  • Promote Yokogawas total IA portfolio and exploit synergies across Systems & Solutions Services and Y-Products BUs.
  • Identify qualify and prioritise project opportunities in collaboration with RSMs FSEs BUs EPC Sales & Proposal teams. Align and implement activities and action plans accordingly.
  • Manage and maintain oversight on all Major / Strategic Mining Opportunity & Forecast data in the YODA CRM application in line with the guidelines and requirements as set out by the company and the YMA Corporate Planning Div. Monitor input data quality & accuracy ensure completion of all mandatory fields and maintain zero overdue opportunities in YODA.
  • Communicate with relevant RHQs and observe global territory rules where the project owner stakeholders or ECs are overseas based.
  • Drive early engagement with project developers and owners during pre-FEED promote Yokogawa MAC capability.
  • Conduct regional sales visits and customer meetings in collaboration with RSMs and FSEs.
  • Support the YHQ Africa Business Promotion Center and travel when required in support of afore-mentioned activities in the territory.
  • Facilitate SME support through the YMA RHQ Material BU organisation as required.
  • Establish contact with key Mining companies headquartered in the territory and position Yokogawa with HODs for Engineering Project Management and Procurement. Secure C-Suite engagements and request management support as required.
  • Engage with Yokogawa Mining CoEs and set up communication channels with affiliates in regions where Mining is prevalent e.g. YAU YSA YCA.
  • Submit Sales Activity reports timeously to the Head of Sales and the relevant RSM / FSE following customer or regional sales visits.
  • Fulfill vendor qualification and supplier registrations with all potential Mining customers as required.
  • Be part of local Yokogawa Major Account teams for key Mining customers together with the relevant RSMs and FSEs.
  • Maintain oversight on all major Mining enquiries RFQs ITBs and tenders.
  • Comply with Yokogawa Customer / End-User registration processes Applications for Credit and legal review process for Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). Adhere to company guidelines & procedures for the safeguarding and sharing of confidential information received under an NDA.
  • Develop annual budgets and business plans with direction from the Head of Sales.
  • Plan and manage all promotional events for the Mining industry in cooperation with the Marketing department.
  • Develop and maintain customer-facing Mining Solutions .PPTX materials for distribution and use by sales.
  • Update the AF3 Mining Brochure as required from time to time provide design input ideas content and graphics in collaboration with the Marketing department.
  • Work with the YMA Marketing group and RHQ Material BU to secure the latest marketing materials for promotional activities including advertising exhibition graphics promotional videos logos narratives success stories application notes and other Mining-specific content.
  • Perform Monthly progress reporting budgeting & forecasting as required.
  • Stay abreast of strategic and technical developments in Yokogawas IA portfolio.
  • Protect the organisations value by keeping information confidential.
  • Adherence to the Yokogawa Management System.
  • Adherence to Yokogawa Code of Conduct Anti-Bribery / Anti-Corruption policy Sales Manual HR QHSE and Accounting controls and procedures.
  • Adherence to annual Goal Setting & Performance Review requirements with direct line manager.
  • Abide by the companys health and safety policy by ensuring the following:
