Pay Rate: $36$52/Hour

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 14-week outpatient acute care assignment in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care assist providers during examinations and procedures and support daily clinical operations with minimal orientation and supervision. This role requires strong clinical organizational and communication skills in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms
• Prepare patients for examinations and clinical procedures
• Take and document vital signs and patient progress
• Assist physicians and providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare trays and supplies for injections and treatments
• Administer injections and assist with paps and related procedures
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness
• Assist with appointment scheduling chart preparation filing and reception duties
• Contact insurance companies to obtain authorizations for procedures and treatments
• Coordinate with primary care providers to obtain referrals and referral extensions
• Observe and report patient responses to treatments and procedures
• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management
• Participate in activities related to nursing unit operations and patient care quality initiatives

Requirements

• LPN Diploma required
• Active American Heart Association BLS Certification required
• Current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
• Ability to independently perform outpatient acute care patient functions with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows patient care procedures and office operations
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) strongly preferred
• Excellent communication multitasking and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment
