Service Engineer

We are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join a long established and family run business based in Carlisle. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and mechanically minded individual to join a busy Workshop Services team supporting customers across the region.

This is a hands on and varied role involving the servicing repair installation and maintenance of a wide range of garage and workshop equipment. The role would suit someone who enjoys problem solving working independently and delivering a high standard of customer service on site.

A fully equipped company van will be provided alongside ongoing support and training from an experienced and supportive team. Call outs are paid at time and a half.

Key responsibilities
Servicing and repairing compressors tyre equipment and vehicle lifts
Installing pipework and associated workshop systems
Assisting with the commissioning of bulk tanks
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently
Providing professional and reliable support to customers on site
Working independently across customer locations throughout the region
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Maintaining accurate service and maintenance records
Supporting customers with troubleshooting and equipment issues where required

About you
Good understanding of mechanics and engineering principles
Previous experience working with workshop or garage equipment would be beneficial
Hands on engineering or mechanical experience will be considered
Practical and confident using tools and equipment
Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
Reliable dependable and customer focused approach
Full UK driving licence required
