The Structural Building Team is currently looking for a Structural Engineer (Intermediate to Senior) to support the continued growth of our Winnipeg office team.
Your role
- Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel concrete wood masonry etc.).
- Participate in projects across Canada collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and supporting national project delivery.
- Conduct studies surveys technical reports and structural inspections.
- Supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase and provide construction support.
- Ensure that engineering work is produced in accordance with industry quality standards and complies with the National Building Code and applicable Provincial building codes.
- Coordinate projects impacting structural design with other disciplines (mechanical electrical architecture process etc.).
- Maintain and develop strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Develop and mentor junior staff through coaching technical guidance and ongoing performance feedback.
- Contribute to proposal development including scope definition technical input and working closely with project managers and business development teams.
About you
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
- Masters degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
- 5-10 years of previous related experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong experience with structural design software (ETABS SAP2000 SAFE etc.).
- Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.
