The Structural Building Team is currently looking for a Structural Engineer (Intermediate to Senior) to support the continued growth of our Winnipeg office team.

Your role

• Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel concrete wood masonry etc.).
• Participate in projects across Canada collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and supporting national project delivery.
• Conduct studies surveys technical reports and structural inspections.
• Supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase and provide construction support.
• Ensure that engineering work is produced in accordance with industry quality standards and complies with the National Building Code and applicable Provincial building codes.
• Coordinate projects impacting structural design with other disciplines (mechanical electrical architecture process etc.).
• Maintain and develop strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Develop and mentor junior staff through coaching technical guidance and ongoing performance feedback.
• Contribute to proposal development including scope definition technical input and working closely with project managers and business development teams.

About you

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
• Masters degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
• 5-10 years of previous related experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong experience with structural design software (ETABS SAP2000 SAFE etc.).
• Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.
