As a Accountant II you will be responsible for supporting our Global Financial Reporting team. This role would suit a highly motivated individual looking for an entry point into the Group Finance function of a dynamic large multi-national ASX-listed organisation.

To succeed in this role you should have experience in Business Accounting or Finance or a similar discipline.

What youll do

We are looking for a Accountant II to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of month end Group reporting close tasks including:
    • Group consolidation journal entries.
    • Preparation of Group balance sheet reconciliations .
    • Monitoring reporting and assisting to resolve Hyperion validations.
    • Managing and resolving intercompany mismatches .
    • Other ad hoc month end task as required by management.
  • Preparation of group statutory reporting and compliance requirements for both half and full year reporting including:
    • Annual and Interim Financial Report.
    • Investor presentations.
  • Ad hoc activities including:
    • Attend to ad-hoc Hyperion queries.
    • Investigation of system errors (EPM FCC).
    • Preparation/review of ABS surveys if required.
    • Opportunities for involvement in the Groups reporting system implementation project .
    • Other analysis as required by Senior Manager or Manager.
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement initiatives to improve quality and efficiencies.

  • Tertiary qualified in Business Accounting or Finance or a similar discipline.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Accounting/auditing experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines across multiple time zones and prioritize important/urgent task.
  • Oracle EPM Financial Consolidation Close expertise.
  • Experience delivering in a large-scale geographically dispersed fast-paced environment.
  • Shared service experience.
